An implant is another better option to replace a missing tooth or several missing teeth. An implant restoration is a new tooth in the same position as the tooth that was lost, and can look and feel just like your natural tooth. Your implant is composed of two parts that mimic a tooth’s root and crown. The implant’s root is made of titanium a highly bio-compatible material. Once the implant has healed in place, we attach a crown to it to replace the top, biting part of your tooth.
Implants may also be used to anchor partial or complete dentures, especially lower complete dentures that tend to shift when you talk or chew. Of course, implants can replace partial dentures or even complete dentures resulting in much more confidence in a person’s ability to talk and chew while creating a more natural smile.
Dr. Sheth received his training in implant dentistry at the Midwest Implant Institute under Dr. Duke and Rob Heller. Dr. Sheth would be more than happy to discuss your treatment options regarding dental implants and tell you if you are a suitable candidate.
