Usually, wisdom teeth extraction needs to be performed as their eruption impacts the teeth and tissues in front of them. Typically, wisdom teeth are extracted before the Age of 25 as risk of complications increases over time. A wisdom tooth can grow sideways or become trapped under the gum. Or it can become infected, decayed, or cause pressure on the tooth next to it.
